STRAWBERRY SOAKED OATS
As it is British Food Fortnight (23rd September - 7th October 2017), why not tie two British classics - strawberries and oats - together? This really easy, healthy and not to mention delicious, pot of joy is a perfect breakfast or snack.
Serves 1
Ingredients
3 Strawberries, sliced
1/2 cup of rolled oats
1 cup milk of choice (I like Koko coconut milk - tastes amazing with strawberries)
optional: 1 heaped tsp chia seed
1 tbsp ground flax/linseed
pinch of salt
Method
In a jar or Tupperware, mix all ingredients together.
Seal and leave over night. Simple!
Tip: By slicing the strawberries, the sweetness seeps out over night into the oats. No sugar needed whatsoever! The longer you leave it, the better it tastes...
