BRUSSEL SPROUTS WITH CHESTNUTS
Brussels sprouts can be a bit boring, but are much nicer fried or roasted so they caramelise and chestnuts add a lovely flavour too. These brussels from www.myprimrosehillkitchen.com are so gorgeous, even people who don't like them normally will like these.
Serves 6
Ingredients
500g Brussel sprouts halved
30g butter or olive oil
180g packet of cooked and peeled chestnuts, roughly choped
Salt and pepper to taste
METHOD
Par boil the sprouts for 5 minutes, then in a large sauté pan, heat the butter and fry the sprouts until tender and slightly browning, about 5-20 minutes depending on the size of your sprouts. Add the chestnuts and salt and pepper and stir fry for a minute or two.
