It's official! Veganism is on the rise in the UK and the new freely available guide to UK vegan events demonstrates this in abundance, with around 80 UK vegan festivals already listed for 2017 with more still to be announced…

The UK Vegan Festivals guide features events from almost every city in the UK as veganism continues to grow at astonishing rates, so there has never been a better time to explore a vegan lifestyle while enjoying delicious food and a party atmosphere - and of course vegan festivals are suitable for everyone not just for non meat eaters!

With vegan food sales up 1,500% year on year (London Economist) and 360% rise in the number of vegans in the UK over the last decade (The Vegan Society / IPSOS Mori poll), the growth is expected to continue to accelerate with vegan festivals playing a big part behind this rapid expansion. The guide features a number of vegan festival organisers who work both independently and collectively to produce a big range of different festivals from some brand-new regional events with around 30 stalls and 500 visitors, right up to the 3 day London exhibitions featuring around 300 stalls and 15,000 visitors.

The guide is published by VegfestUK, one of the forerunners of the UK vegan festivals scene, as continuation of a long-standing policy of promoting all the vegan events rather than just their own.

"It's what's known in the trade as Collaborative Leadership," say VegfestUK organisers, "We're big fans of all the other vegan events and we're really happy to promote them all for free'' say VegfestUK organisers.

"We love seeing more and more people going vegan. It's better for them, the planet and for the animals of course too. For us as organisers of the biggest vegan events in the UK, we welcome more vegan events and we are so pleased, albeit not totally surprised in how much the vegan festivals have grown since we first started 18 years ago.
We're thrilled to see this wonderful spirit of cooperation and mutual respect as the growth of the vegan movement goes from strength to strength. We want to see the whole vegan community grow and this is why we put the guide together. We personally strive to make our festivals bigger and better every year too.''

Karin Ridgers MC for VegfestUK and Founder of VeggieVision TV adds;
"Vegan festivals are suitable for everyone not just for non meat eaters. Food lovers, vegan curious, families, environmental and animal lovers - well everyone is welcome and their feedback afterwards is incredible. Visitors cannot believe the choice of vegan friendly foods available."
