HONEY & THYME ROASTED FIGS WITH GOATS CHEESE & PROSCUITTO

A light appetiser showcasing juicy figs, complimented with creamy goats cheese, salty prosciutto and a drizzle of honey- perfect to serve with crisp crostini’s!

Ingredients

Serves: 2-3 as a side/appetiser

  • 6 slices of prosciutto

  • 4-6 figs (depending on size)

  • 1tbsp honey (plus extra to garnish)

  • A few sprigs of fresh thyme

  • A large handful of walnuts

  • Bread/crackers/salad to serve

Method

  1. Preheat the grill to a medium heat. Slice the figs into quarters and roughly slice the goats cheese into rounds.

  2. Place the goats cheese slices ontop of the figs and place onto a grill rack. Drizzle over some honey and a sprinkle of thyme. Grill for about 8-10 minutes or until the cheese starts to melt.

  3. Prepare the serving plate with the slices of prosciutto and once the figs are done to you’re liking, remove from the grill and assemble with the ham. Sprinkle over the crushed walnuts, an extra drizzle of honey and serve with crusty bread or crackers.
