Love Yourself Smoothie
Total time: 5 minutes
Serves: 1-2
Ingredients
1 ripe banana
1 handful of frozen mixed berries
1 handful of frozen blueberries
1 handful of spinach or kale
1 stick of celery, chopped
1 small handful of watercress
1-2 tbsp ground flaxseed
1 tsp-1 tbsp nut butter… leave out if nut allergies
1-2 inches root turmeric, peeled (easier to peel using a teaspoon) or 1 tsp turmeric powder
1-2 inches root ginger, peeled (easier to peel using a teaspoon)
Pinch of black pepper
250ml/1 cup plant milk of your choice.
Optional extras
1 tbsp of vegan protein powder
2 tbsp pumpkin seeds, (ideally) soaked overnight and drained
Half an avocado
Pinch of cayenne pepper
1 tsp maple syrup or a pitted date if extra sweetness is needed
Method
Place all of the ingredients straight into the blender and blitz until smooth.
If you need to add a bit more milk then do so a little at a time. Enjoy.
